Zanne Brunner
Painter
I am primarily an abstract, colorist painter. My content always comes from nature/organic forms. My color is not representational but rather spiritual, reflecting the soul of the image. It can be anything from bones to trees to the human figure or vegetation of all sorts.
Artist Statement
I have both a BFA and a MST degree. Teaching art at the high school level was a thirty year career. Painting has been an over 50 year journey that continues both at my home studio and at Studio 402.
My dog, Ziggy and I go on dog therapy visits, our favorite is the 911 Call Center. Being a grandmother has also enriched my life. Freya, who is two, and I paint and draw most everytime we connect. We will both be in the Self-Portrait Show this year….look for the black hanging silhouettes.
I have been curating at the Little Cafe for 9 years and also curate some of the shows at Studio 402.
I have had many solo shows and group shows and I have been a member of the Arena Art Group for over 40 years. Public Art has always been a passion of mine. I have painted or directed over 50 murals over the years
